I was working for AT&T / Ameritech in the Technician call center in Madison, Wisconsin. I walked in unaware of the tragedy our country was experiencing. My "happy to be at work" smile disappeared when I noticed the faces of my co-workers. Some where crying, some where sitting and standing in an obvious state of shock.
ReplyDeleteI asked..."What's up with everyone?" as I didn't listen to the radio on my drive into work. Then, someone said: "Kenon...you didn't hear? We're under attack! Our country is under attack!" I rolled my eyes and said: "Our country has never been under attack!". Then they turned on the TV. I sat down in disbelief, and starting thinking of how many people I knew in NY.
